Youth Scholarship

JLF Youth Volunteer Scholarship

The Junior League of Fayetteville has established a scholarship program to support the volunteer and leadership potential of area youth.

The League offers five scholarships in the amount of $2,100 each, available to female high school seniors demonstrating outstanding volunteer performance in Cumberland County. Eligible students must participate in volunteer work above and beyond that which may be required for school or church.

Scholarship Requirements

  • Must be a Cumberland, Hoke, Harnett, Sampson, Robinson, and Bladen County (Private or Public) School graduating female senior.
  • Must enroll as a full-time student in any private or public post-secondary institution in the coming academic school year (Fall-Spring).
  • Must be involved in a volunteer capacity in the community.
  • Volunteer work must be separate from any that is required by the student’s school.
  • Scholarship winners must provide “verification of enrollment.” The scholarship award check will be made out to the institution on behalf of the recipient by the JLF scholarship.
  • List leadership or special recognition awards (please provide a copy of any award if available).

Application Deadline: March 31st, 2023

Interested students should submit their application to the Junior League of Fayetteville.  Applications are reviewed by the Junior League of Fayetteville’s Youth Volunteer Scholarship committee located at:
